Biography is a text that describe about the life of person. It is based on fact, such as childhood, education, career, relationships, family, and death. Besides that, biography has generic structure, they are: 

    a. Part 1 : orientation 

         This part was on first paragraph and it showed the background information as two why this person is. The opening paragraph should answer the questions:  who, what, where, when, and how.

   b. Part 2 : series

        It presents a series of events, usually told in chronological order or time on line.

    c. Part 3 : reorientation

       It consist of type of conclusion with a comment on the contributions this person has made or a summary and evaluation of the person’s achievement. 

Furthermore, the Language Features of biograhy is:

·      Use specific names of the people involved in the biography

·     It is mainly written in simple past tense (final paragraph could also include the present tense)

ü  Frequently : often, sometimes, always

ü  Specific time : last week, when I was child, yesterday, etc

ü  Unspecific time : the other day, ages ago, a long time ago

·      Use linking word to do with time

·      Use action verb, past tense

                 " Nadiem Makarim

Nadim was born in Singapore, July 4, 1984. His father is Nono Anwar Makarim who came from Pekalongan who work as a lawyer and his mother is Atika Algadrie from Pasuruan who works in the field of non-profit. Nadiem Makarim has two sisters. Nadiem Makarim's wife is Franka Franklin, they married in 2014 ago.

Nadiem Makarim started elementary school in Jakarta, then graduated from high school in Singapore, from Singapore he then continued his education in International Relations at Brown University USA and for a year he attended the foreign exchange program at the London School of Economics. He also continued his studies at Harvard Business School, Harvard University and graduated with an MBA (Master of Business Administration).

Nadiem Makarim is known to have worked for a reputable consulting firm in Mckinsey & Company in Jakarta and spent three years working there. He also worked as a co-founder and Managing Editor at Zalora Indonesia and later became Chief Innovation Officer of my card. Armed with much experience during his work, Nadiem Makarim then ventured to quit his job and founded GO-JEK company in 2011. This application helps the unemployment in Indonesia especially those who work as "Ojek" get jobs and more opportunity to increase their income.
